As our Professional Services division continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Field Engineer to join our technical team. This is an opportunity to move away from a traditional systems integrator and work directly for the manufacturer, gaining specialist product knowledge while delivering industry-leading solutions to end users across the UK.

The Role

Working as part of our Professional Services team, you'll be responsible for commissioning, servicing and supporting Commend's market-leading communication systems. You'll work closely with customers, providing technical expertise, carrying out site visits and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Commissioning and maintaining Commend systems
• Attending service calls and providing on-site technical support
• Remote support for contracted customers
• Producing system configurations and programming solutions
• Carrying out customer site surveys
• Supporting product demonstrations alongside the sales team
• Identifying upgrade opportunities within existing customer sites
• Building strong customer relationships through excellent technical service
• Working towards individual and team performance objectives

About You

• We're looking for engineers who enjoy working with customers and have a solid technical foundation.

Ideally you'll have:

• Experience within the electronic security industry (CCTV, Access Control, Intercom, Security or similar)
• Good understanding of IP networking and basic network configuration
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer-facing ability
• A full UK driving licence
• The willingness to travel throughout the UK with occasional overnight stays
• Previous experience with Commend products is not required. Full product training will be provided.

An on-call rota exists within the business and is currently fully covered. While it is not immediately available to new starters, opportunities to join the rota may become available in the future.
